You can request another card from the dealer by tapping the table or hitting the hit button online. Aces are worth 1 or 11 depending on how it favours you and all face cards are worth 10.

The dealer must stand on all hands that are 17 and if they exceed 21 they bust and everyone wins. If the player gets21 they are paid out of 3:2. If they win they are paid out 1:1. When a players hand ties a dealers hand its called a push and the player gets their money back. Players can insure their bet if the dealer is showing an ace and they will get half their money back if the dealer get blackjack.

Before playing European Blackjack it’s important to know the rules. There are not that many to learn and it’s a fun easy game to play whether online or at a casino.

Blackjack Table
Blackjack is dealt on a semi circle table that seats 6-8 players depending on the casino. Each player will have a circle or square in front of them. When a player sits down they can get exchange money for chips from the dealer who sits across from all players. Then the player will have to put the minimum bet down on the table to start play. The dealer will then give everyone a card from right to left. Each player will get two cards both facing up. The dealer will get two cards with one facing up.

European Blackjack Hitting
To signal a hit a player must tap the table with their fingers to let the dealer know they want another card. Its up to the player to hit or stand with the cards they have vs what the dealer has.

European Blackjack Standing
Once a player is happy with their hand they can wave over the cards to signal that they do not want any more cards to be dealt. Once everyone is satisfied the dealer then turns over the second card and tries to beat the players.

European Blackjack Doubling Down
Players can put second bet down after seeing their two cards. Once this happens the dealer will only be allowed to draw one more card. The player only gets to get the one card, if they beat the dealer then both bets are paid 1:1.

European Blackjack Splitting
Players can divide their cards if they receive two cards that are the same, for example two queens. The player will have to put another bet to match their initial bet and can play both hands. This can work well if a player gets two aces.
